WGA's second meeting - "Tofu Banquet" was a great success !
11 course meal earned a lot of compliments and with 16 newly joined members and now we have total of 30 members now. With this kind of growing speed, Washingtonian Gourmet Association (WGA) will become a very unique group in the DC area. Edward and I thank you for your strong support and let's all pull for the promotion of Chinese culture and cuisine. It is our mission to reach out and to educate people all over.
Our first course - Five Tofu Salad Assortment :
Smoked Vegetarian Goose 煙薰素鵝
Ma-lan Tofu Saland 香干馬蘭頭
Agar-agar Tofu Salad 寒天干絲
Celery Tofu Salad 腐衣西芹
Scallion Tofu Salad 香蔥豆腐
Second course , hot appetizer - "General Zheng's Shrimp Roll"(成功蝦卷), thin tofu wrapper with shrimp paste filling. The special thick soy dipping sauce is delicious.
